Maroon Fab Nails ♥

Just bought a new glitter gold colour from Orly - 'Too Fab' and it contains small and medium sized gold flakes in the polish..it can also act as a form of top coat with a base colour. :) So, for this set of nails I used a deep maroon colour from Faceshop as the base colour and coated it with the gold nail flakes. Also on two of the fingers I just placed gold studded embellishments. After I did the nails, it gave me the feeling of 'ancient-kind-of-glamourous' and this gave me an idea to do an Egyptian-styled set of nails next (^-^)

Galaxy Nails!

Decided to play around with the Galaxy Nail Faceshop set that Angelus has bought from Korea as a gift for me :) I did a set of gradient nails with the shimmering black as the base colour and the gradient is the colourful glitter and a silver/pearly colour shimmer polish to make the gradient more flowy and softer. The end results are awesome and I just added a 3D square silver embellishment on one of the fingers for variety (^_^)

Northern Star ~OPI Colours Again (^^)

Angelus came over again for a manicure session and I decided to use more mature looking colours that fits more to her overall 'tai tai' personality. So, I did sort of a French with 2 OPI colours - a deep blue (Eurso Euro) and the glitter gold (Oy-Another Polish Joke) and outlined it with gold lining sticker. As for her thumb, the embelishments and crystals are arranged to be star-like :) This time round I used Seche Vite base coat and the bonding ability is rather good as the polish lasted longer and lesser chipping off.

Geometric Nails (OPI Euro Central Colours)

I have to admit, I really really love this set of nails that I have done. I used four colours from the Euro Central set, namely, 'My Vampire is Buff' (nude colour), 'Suzi's Hungary Again!' (hot pink), 'Can't Find My Czechbook' (robin blue), 'Oy-Another Polish Joke!' (glitter gold). I did a geometric pattern and filled the colours at random, outlining with a black acrylic paint. To finish off, I added Swarovski crystals and a pearl ribbon :)

**OPI Eurso Euro**

Oh my, really adore this deep blue colour, at certain angles, the colour looks a bit purple. Did it on my hands and for a friend and this nail polish colour made our hands look very fair, haha~ This colour just needs around 2-3 coats and it will be very opaque. Just finish the look with a Seche Vite topcoat and you are ready to go! (it's my favourite topcoat ever~~)

OPI So-So Skullicious Nails!!

My friend had booked a room at Hard Rock Café Hotel so as to celebrate my friend's and my birthday. The bought me the OPI Skullicious set and OPI Germany collection mini nail polish. I adore how the colour pigments look like and decided to give all of them a quick manicure :) I did all of their nails but didn't manage to take pictures. So, I have an adorable repost from one of them as the colours I did on her resembles her pens :) I also packed my accessories at night, and the picture is just a portion of it!

Rose Gothic Nails

Hello Readers! Sorry been away for so long. I am going to update a few sets of nails I did, one of the sets is this rose gothic nails. I was really happy experimenting with the textures on the grey nail, did sort of a dry sponge with silver acrylic paint on a black base to achieve this grungy effect :) So I paired it with a mix of hot pink from Faceshop's colour to make a overall gothic feel. Did a crown pattern on one of the fingers with the bullions as I was thinking of what accessories to go with the theme too :)

Baaackkk!! (with China Glaze Bling It On!)

Hello Readers!! Back after sooooo long..Been enjoying Chinese New Year fun-packed with family visitations after family visitations, Valentine's Day (Me and boyfriend bought a new hamster ^__^), assignments, assignments and endless assignments. Been practicing on manicure painting skills too and will upload pictures soon. For now, I did my nails with China Glaze Bling It On and its absolutely gorgeous. I always like my nails to have glitter and bling, harajuku style, and just nice this shade has a mixture of black and purple glitter pieces. I applied a black base from Faceshop first, before applying at least 2 layers of the polish from China Glaze as their base is sheer. Then glamming it up with Swavorski cystals, pearls and beads for the finishing touches.

***Stay tuned peeps as I will be opening orders for China Glaze Bitz 'N Pieces Collection, Essie colours (I have chosen certain colours for the coming Spring season) and nail accessories. For now, below shows the colour palette from Bitz 'N Pieces. LIKE and share my Facebook page and stand to win prizes for orders that are $40 and above! Thank you!

Friends Spa Day! (with Essie Mucho Dinero)

It has been some time that I have a good catchup with my friends and I'm catching up with buddies Chalisa and Limin! Limin was our personal masseur while Chalisa trimmed our eyebrows and I did manicure for them, really a one-stop service day..haha. Chalisa just bought this lovely shade which is a combination of nude beige and pink from Essie colour Mucho Dinero (it is a discontinued colour). This colour suits their style as they don't like flashy or bright colours, but rather prefer muted colours. So, to make things pop a little on their hands, I drew doodles of tacky characters' faces, adding on the famous moustache and tuxedo and even a random tic-tac-toe.

Spring Colours for Chinese New Year ♥

Oh my!! So excited!! :)) Bought some new bright colours for the coming Chinese New Year and the coming season of Spring - the season of cheers and the blooming of flowers. I have chosen bright pinks, greens, purple/violet and beige to add on to my nail collection and will be my colour palette for this coming festive season :)

Mermaid Nails ♥

Finally!!! I found some time to upload my pictures..haha. For this set of nails, I used the patterns of scales (as you can see in my previous post) and did a silver outline and used mint green and pastel yellow as I want to achieve a softer look. For the rest of the nails, I sponged on the combination of the 2 colours and make it gradient/ombre on the white backgound. Then using glitter flake from China Glaze, I brushed the glitter at the tip of the gradient colour to make it resemble sea foam. I added the crystal, pearls and beads in a random fashion as I didn't want my sea foam to look rigid but gentle :) Hope you guys like this look!

Practicing Time :)

Well, was practicing on fake nails today and decided to do patterns of mermaid/ fish scales and I went for a lighter tone palette such as mint green, light yellow and white. From the first picture below, I have painted one layer of white and let it dry before using acrylic black paint to outline the scales pattern. After which, I applied on the green and yellow nail polish colour.

As the color was still quite light, I applied a 2nd layer of colour and waited for it dry. Meanwhile, if you noticed a bit of 'bumps' for the colour applied and the surface appears alittle rough. Don't be afraid, you always have topcoat to smoothen it out. While drying, I used a silver glittery nail polish pen to go over the lines drawn.

So, after the lines drawn, wait for around 5minutes before applying the topcoat to prevent the colours from spilling over - waiting for 5minutes ensures that the colours are slightly dry. Then apply topcoat to smooth out the 'bumps'. For topcoat, I use Seche Vite dry fast top coat.

Ta-dah! Smoother-looking nails. But I'm not done yet, it's only halfway through. Will post up the pictures after I'm done! :)

Love Deco Nails Book! :)

I wanted to take some time off to spend making this book where I could collate all the pictures of the nails I have done and the steps I used to make them. So, it's like a manual to me :) I can even pen down sketches of the designs I have in mind that I want to attempt to create. Therefore, this book or collection of ideas is important to me. After I made it, I was satisfied with the look and just decided to blog about it, share my little happiness <3

China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil: It's A Trap-Eze!

Decided to give a try to this colour as the different combinations of coloured flakes looks fascinating. It has a white base and the mixture of flake sizes and colours makes it looks like there is an array of 'bubbles' on your fingernails. The nail polish is rather opaque after applying two coats and is able to last for about a week or slightly more. :)

Luxe Pink Glitter Nails

These nails are done as an experimentation for mixture of nail polish glitters, using pink Luxe Effects by Essie, silver glitter of the Face It series of Faceshop and a  nail polish with a larger pink flake by Etude House :) I did a gradient kind of glitter effect on my nails and I enjoy the combination of these three nail polishes as it adds the sparkle to my nails without the overall look being too overwhelmingly shiny..
